Two weeks late but wanted to give a huge shoutout to Brodie (backcountrybrodes) who wrapped up the Centennials on Stewart Peak on 8/29/26! Brodie absolutely cranked through the list, finishing the Centennials shortly after his 25th birthday in a span of about 6 years from first 14er to #100.
Brodie has been an incredible friend and climbing buddy to me over the years, from our first summit of Capitol in 2023, to some fun ski descents of Lackawanna and Cristo, to many Centennial & 13er outings the last couple summers. Our Jagged trip in August was the icing on the cake, and ended up being an epic way to bring us both to #99.
Brodie’s potential is unlimited and it has been awesome watching him continue to progress, from cranking out 9 of the California 14ers earlier this summer (in a 7 day trip I might add), to a casual summit of the Grand Teton just a few weeks ago.
Aside from his increasingly impressive resume in the mountains, Brodie is as kind, patient, selfless, and inspiring of a partner in the mountains as you’ll ever find. I’m grateful for our shared faith and the opportunity to get out and explore God’s incredible creation on some of Colorado’s best peaks.
Huge congrats to Brodie on wrapping up the cents - stoked for many more adventures to come!

Thank you for every one of your kind words Cooper! I consider myself blessed to have found a fellow believer to climb with on so many memorable trips and experiences, including aside from hikes. You’ve been such a great friend to me both in faith and in Mexican food recommendations 
and I can’t wait to celebrate your Centennial finisher on Hagerman in just a couple weeks!!

The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker
