Once again I have no idea where (i.e., in what state) I will be after the holidays this year, so hard to plan for CO mountain goals.
But here's a wish list anyway:

Get to 300 on 13er list (57 to go for ranked; or 23 for ranked/unranked)
I have 25 bicents remaining so I would like to get at least 12-13 of those (ultimate end goal on bicents is to finish on my 50th bday in August 2023)
I porked out in '20, so I should stop that trend and get serious about my health

I'm looking for a partner for this one if you are interested.

* 6 California 14ers (Shasta, Whitney+Russell+Muir, williamson+tyndall)
* Learn how to use crampons & ice axe
* Go backpacking for the first (and subsequent) time
* Backcountry skin + ski (not necessarily a peak)

Stretch goals
* SPS Emblem award (10 emblem peaks, each requiring basically a weekend + 9 other SPS peaks on top of the 6 I've done)
* Learn how to trad climb
* ski one 14er or 13er

When I read the goals of AnnaG22 and Scott P at the beginning of this thread I realized how meager my goals are compared to some of the "beasts" on this forum. As a 60 year old flatlander from Kansas City MO and a neophyte who just started hiking 13ers and 14ers in 2020, I have a long way to go. Be that as it may, these are my Colorado hiking goals for 2021.

1. Continue my aerobic training with three HIIT workouts interspersed with my standard aerobic
workouts and weightlifting every week.
2. Get out to Colorado three different weeks this summer through autumn for hiking.
3. Hike Mt Sherman and complete the Mosquito range.
4. Complete the following Sawatch 14ers: Mt Massive (southwest slopes), Mt Harvard, Mt Elbert,
and Mt Princeton.
5. Complete the following Front range 14ers: Torrey's Peak, Mt Evans, and Mt Bierstadt.
6. Complete 13er Grizzly Peak D at Loveland Pass.
7. Help my wife complete a 14er on a trip planned for next September. She is seven years older
than I and came close, but failed this past summer. I have picked out some routes that I hope
will help her achieve this goal: Mt Bross (East Slopes from Mineral Park), Mt Lincoln (East
Slopes), Mt Democrat (standard) and/or Mt Sherman (standard).

The plan is to start looking at doing class 3 in 2022.

3. Convince myself that mountains in the snow can be fun
4. Get back on some technical rock
I hope to snow climb some Elk 13ers near you (hopefully with skis). I’ll let you know when I’ll be in the area. Only downside is that I’m usually a midweek type.
Luckily I tend to have midweek days but no skis. Let me know when it gets closer to that time.

Ed, your goals are awesome! When it comes down to it, all of us on this site are just people who love mountains, no matter whether that has been true for 6 months or for 7 decades. For your seventh goal, my personal favorite of those 4 peaks is Mount Sherman. Others may disagree. In any case, thanks for joining in on the fun of this thread!

Skiing/Rollerskiing
Win the Kortelopet race in the classic technique in Cable, Wisconsin in February. This year it's shorted from the usual 29 km distance to 26 km.
Race the Norwegian Birkebeiner in the classic technique in Lillehammer, Norway in March; the trip would also include a lot of skiing at the World Cup race venues in Lillehammer and at Holmenkollen in Oslo. Not sure if the trip will happen- depends on pandemic restrictions & cancellations.
Summer skiing training camp on Eagle Glacier in Girdwood, Alaska; run by the Alaska Pacific University ski coaches (who have coached many former & current US Ski Team athletes)
Train at the rollerski track at Soldier Hollow, Utah (site of cross-country skiing at 2002 Olympics). I've done 25 ski races in 10 different trips over 10 years at this venue (with another 2 races planned in January) but never done any rollerskiing there.

Running/Hiking
Climb Mt. Hood via the normal route
Climb Snowmass Mountain from the trailhead in a single outing- hike the approach, snow climb from lake to summit to lake, run deproach
Summit all 4 Chicago Basin 14ers in a single outing from the Purgatory trailhead. This will be the longest run/hike I've ever done.
Snow climb Mt. Meeker & Southeast Longs
Snow climb Little Bear Peak
Hike Crestone Peak & Crestone Needle
Hike Pyramid Peak
Hike Culebra Peak
Run the Arapahoe Basin Cirque Series race- I was planning to do it this year but it got canceled
Hike Mt. Timpanogos

Repeats
Pawnee-Buchanan Pass Loop mountain run (done 4 times already)
Four Pass Loop mountain run (done 4 times already)
Tenmile Traverse mountain run (done 3 times already)
High Lonesome Loop mountain run (done 6 times already)
Boulder Skyline Loop mountain run (done 4 times already)
Mt. Evans classic rollerski (done 4 times already)
Tour de Summit County rollerskiathlon (done 4 times already)

Other
Find another job in space data analysis/software development/astrophysics in Boulder- my current job is ending this month (I think)
Train 600 hours

These are the "big" goals & mountain trips/objectives on my list. This doesn't include the multitude of regular ski races, annual training camps and general high-level training & fitness that are now standard for me.

I don’t really plan anything or try to make too many goals. Should be able to finish the 14ers next year with only Culebra and San Luis left😂. I wanna do a bunch of work in the Gores. Found myself really missing Byers Peak today after all the fires so I’ll probably spend a bunch of time up there this summer. Probably should go back and grab Crestone traverse to finish the traverses. Oh and I’ve been trying for a few years to go Summit lake to Loveland Pass so I guess I’ll go for that again next year.

As a current flatlander (MO), my goals and opportunities are somewhat more limited than most on here. There are really only a few for 2021.

Goal #1: get to California

1. Climb Whitney (MR up, main trail down) and Muir. Maybe Russell. Our permit this year got cancelled by the fires the day before we were supposed to fly out & that still hurts.
2. Climb Williamson and Tyndall, either a few days before/after Whitney or as its own main event if we can't get a Whitney permit.

Goal #2: get to Alaska for Chugach hiking/climbing

Goal #3: first-ever snow climb (Snowmass or Shasta or maybe Adams/Baker) in late spring

If all this happens, it'll be the first summer in four years without a Colorado trip!
